Cookie Policy

1. What cookies and similar technologies are
Cookies are small files or pieces of information placed on or read from a device when a website is used. Similar technologies include local storage, pixels, tags, scripts and software development kits. Some are necessary for a website to work. Others support preferences, analytics, external media or advertising.
2. Our approach
Guiding North HR uses only essential technology without consent. Optional analytics, marketing and external-media services are blocked until the visitor makes the relevant choice, unless a particular technology is legally exempt.
The cookie banner must provide clear options to Accept, Reject and Manage preferences. You can change or withdraw a choice later through the Cookie Preferences link in the website footer.
3. Cookie categories

4. Services used now
Google Maps
The website may offer an interactive Google Map. The live map must not load until you choose to allow functional or external-media content. Before consent, the site should show a neutral placeholder or an ordinary link instead. If you allow it, Google may receive technical information such as your IP address, browser information and interaction data and may use cookies or similar technologies under its own privacy terms.
Website hosting and consent records
Lovable and its delivery providers may use essential technology and process technical logs needed to serve, protect and maintain the website. The consent system may store your choices so the website can remember them.
5. Services that may be added later
Guiding North HR may add Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, embedded YouTube videos, Calendly or a chat facility in future. A service will not be treated as active merely because it is named here. Before any new service goes live, Derek will:
- Assess what data and technologies the service uses.
- Update this policy and the live cookie inventory.
- Place the service in the correct consent category.
- Prevent it from loading before consent where consent is required.
- Check relevant processor terms, international transfers and retention settings.
6. The live cookie inventory
Cookie names and lifetimes can change as providers update their services. The most current list of cookies and similar technologies detected on the website should appear in the Manage Cookie Preferences panel. The list should show the provider, purpose, category and duration. Derek will run a fresh cookie scan after launch and whenever an integration changes.
7. Managing cookies
You can accept or reject optional categories through the website banner and change your choice later through Cookie Preferences. You can also delete or block cookies in your browser. Blocking strictly necessary technology may prevent parts of the website from working correctly.
8. Third-party services
When you choose to load a third-party map, video, booking tool or chat service, that provider may act as an independent controller for some of its processing. Its own privacy and cookie information will apply. Guiding North HR cannot control cookies set independently by third parties after you choose to use their service.
